Movie releases for 2013 (cut)

These are some of the movies that almost made the cut but just missed it in the final edit. Now, i didn't take them out because of the movie itself, i just had a specific reason for not making them. So, here we go, a look at the movies that didn't make it pass the cutting room floor:

  • Scary Movie 5 The movie (April 19)

Don't me wrong, i found most of the scary movies, hilarious. But, the reason it didn't make it to the top 10 list is because there has been so many scary movies, that them making a new one this year, kind of goes without saying. It's kind of like the way everyone expected a new saw to be released around every Halloween, up until the last one. Nothing personal, but i can honestly say i haven't heard any say "will there be a scary movie 5", most people already know. In the extreme case you didn't know, even after reading this, there will be a scary movie 5, scary movie 6, scary movie 7, and scary movie 90 (jk). P.S i added "The movie" to avoid confusion, since it has Movie in the title already. (IMDb)

  • The Last Excorcism part 2

Who doesn't love seeing a girl snap her own neck in three different places, then live to tell the tell? Well, for one, me. There has been so many movies revolving around the excorcism of something it's starting to get a little played out. When they were first being released, it was "the thing to see". Now, it's just "Oh, they made another one?". When your hear the word excorcism, the same thing comes to mind, someone levitating, demonic voices, blah, blah, and further more, blah. I hope they decide to add some extra "fright" to this excorcism, or in opinion, it's really not worth watching to see the same old thing. (IMDb)

Movie releases for 2013 (my top 10)

So, I'm sure have been wondering why i just disappeared. Well, it's because of school, like every other fifteen year old i know. Which is why i decided to come back with a bang, by bringing you a list of the movies I think you should look forward to.  So, without further adieu, i bring you a list of Upcoming movies in 2013 you should look forward to:

1. Texas chainsaw massacre 3D (now playing in theaters)

Okay, if your like me and liked the earlier releases of Texas chainsaw massacre, then you know why i put this one up. The one thing i am worried about is that they are gonna take away all the blood and gore and try to force in 3D scenes, like they did with My Bloody Valentine 3D a while back.
(IMDb)

2. Carrie (October 18)

This one is, without a doubt, one of the ones i think i'm most excited for. Just becuase, i seen both Carrie and Carrie 2: The Rage, and they were amazing in my opinion. Not only the movie itself, but the fx they were able to add with the limited equipment that was available to them years ago. Today, they have a tons more of effects they can do, better quality, and equipment. So, i'm excited to see how they utilize it all.
(IMDb)

3. Percy Jackson: Sea Of Monsters (August 16)

The first Percy Jackson (Percy Jackson: The Lightning Thief) was no doubt a great way to kick of the "Percy Jackson series". What i really loved about the first one is the way they utilized factors from both: The odyssey and greek mythology. I'm actually looking forward to seeing the way they add factors from other tales and books into Percy Jackson: Sea Of Monsters.
(IMDb)

4. Grown ups 2 (July 12)

I kinda feel bad, because i know A LOT of people liked the first Grown ups movie, so they're gonna put a lot of pressure on this movie to surpass it (i'm one of those people). I mean, lets face it, "I wanna get chocolate wasted" has earned a place in most of our hearts.
(IMDb)

5. Jurassic park 3D (April 5)

If-you-have-seen-any-jurassic-park-movies-you-can't-say-you-aren't-excited-to-watch-this-movie. That's the way i write my sentences when i want it to be straight to the point haha. Really, in all honest Jurassic park 3 alone had quite a few pop out parts that scared the hell out of me, now its gonna be in 3D, really? Get ready to have your popcorn flying folks
(IMDb)

6. The Hangover 3 (May 24)

Another one i'm sad that people are gonna be putting a lot of pressure on (me too, yet again haha). The only different thing on this movie that is kind of not fair to me is even if the movie is not funny AT ALL i think people will still find a reason the like it and not bad talk it, just because the movies before it were good. So, a better way to explain it is, if Kris Jenner had another child, the baby would automatically become famous because it was a Kardashian.
(IMDb)

7. Paranormal Activity 5 (October 25)

The Paranormal activies and I have a special relationsip, I will tell you know, the only i watched any of the Paranormal Activities after the first one is to see if they get better. Ever single one after the first one was terrible and pretty much nowhere near the true story it was suppose to be. The reason i put it up on this list was because i am going to at least give it a chance, Paramount pictures, please don't let us down again.
(IMDb)

8. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (November 22)

This movie i can already see is going to be buzzing everywhere, good or bad, that's the directors doing. I say this because, the first hunger games movie was kind of a let down if you compared it to the actual book. If you have read the hunger games book and see how careless they were with some of the details, that's either gonna make you not wanna see the book, or make you very meticulous throughout the rest of the move. The rawness and survival skills in the book is what gave it that edge. So, do us a favor Lionsgate, make sure they add those details back.
(IMDb)

9. Kevin Hart: Let Me Explain (July 4)

I'm not gonna go into much detail with this one cause this blog is pg 13 (kinda), but his movie should most likely be a funny one, but lets face is after "laugh at my pain" he's in a good position to make a crappy stand up. I've heard people quote that movie so many times it's like copyright.
(IMDb)

And Last but in no means least...

10. The wolverine (July 26)

Let me start by saying, don't quote me on this, i think they gave more movies focused mainly on Wolverine, then any other X Men character. In fact, most X-men movies seems to revolve around wolverine solely. This is fine, but i believe there are other members of the X-men with abilities way cooler than wolverine. I mean really, who wouldn't wanna know how Professor X learned to use his telekinesis, mind control, etc, so well. Besides all that, Wolverine does have some really good story lines, the previous wolverine movies have been smooth and told the story good. I look forward to seeing this one.
(IMDb)

So there you have it people, my top 10 upcoming movies releases for 2013. I'm gonna try to do a review of each one of these movies as they start to get released. If want more in depth reviews or expectations/predictions of movies, just leave me a comment below with the name of the movie and any more specifics about it i should know (I.e the year it was released). Hopefully i wont have to wait until these are all released on dvd, and i can at least get to watch one movie in the movie theater, when it's now super-packed.

Medium (series)

Worth watching: Yup

Series Grade: B

Actors Grades: B

Plot Grade(s): B-

Short Summary of series: Allison Dubois (Patricia Arquette) (P.S Gosh, i love that name) is a Medium working for the district attorneys office in Arizona. She has to overcome numerous difficulties, including: seeing the future and ghost. Throughout the show she will struggle to keep up her job, manage her family, and knowing everyone's business.

Favorite episode: The little red riding hood one obviously, i mean the end just like fit in so perfectly to me. I.E instead of a wolf, it was a guy named wolf. Get it?

Least favorite episode: The one when one of Allison's close friend comes to town and dies of Cancer. Which by the way, this episode was ironically the one when they played my favorite song "Hey, Soul Sister", by Train.

5ive girls

Worth watching: Yup

Movie Grade: B-

Actors Grades: C-

Plot Grade: A

Short Summary: Alex (Jennifer Miller) is a telekinetic girl that was sent to a catholic boarding school, in hopes that it will rid the evil (her telekinesis) out of her. When she arrives, she meets other girls just like her with special gifts. The longer she is there she starts to get a strange feeling about the school, and is pushed to find out just what it is. The other girls try to convince her nothing is going on, so they set out to prove it to Alex, but fins maybe there is something far more dangerous than what Alex is worried about.

Likes: The way they displayed there, powers was better than some of the usual depictions of gifts like telekinesis and healing. You could really tell that Mara and Alex's friendship was starting to progress throughtout the movie, not to fast or slow. The way it ended was pretty much unforeseeable.

Dislikes: I felt that Connie (Tasha May) didnt really fit the "possessed/evil" role for me. I mean she was to panicky and fragile to be thought of in that way.

Degrassi Season 12

Okay so before reading this watch the promo HERE.

Ok, i think that from my knowledge of past Degrassi season this promo looks kind of banal (plain). Don't get me wrong i thought the promo was very well put together, except for the Katie and Bianca one. I mean the way they depicted what was going to happen was terrible. I cant judge the season because if you know anything about Degrassi at all you would know this only represents what will happen on each characters first few characters.

Promo/Trailer Grade: C

Actor Grade: A-

Plot Grade: D+ (like i said wasn't displayed very interestingly)

*None of season 12 yet

Snow White & the Huntsman

Worth watching:Yup

Movie Grade: B-

Actors Grades: C

Plot Grade: B

Summary: The Queen (chalize theron) is happy about being the fairest of them all (whatever that means lol). She finds out that there is a girl named snow white (Kristen Stewart) that is destined to overthrow her, so she sends out a huntsman (Chris hemsworth) to kill snow white. The huntsman  then turns on the queen and sets out to help Snow white vanquish her.

Likes: It was a brand new twist on such a cheesy and forgotten fairytale.

Dislikes: A lot of things were unexplained in this movie in my opinion. Like, the huntsman was apparently needed to get through the dark forest, but after they got him, the brother and his men went through the forest like it was no big deal.

Let it shine disney

What i know: Let it shine is a movie about a boy named Chris. He wants to make it big in holly-wood and have the stage name "truth". He finds an opportunity to have his dreams come true by an advertisement on Tv. There is a mix up and they end up thinking Chris brother is Truth instead of him.

What i think will happen: Not only will it be another movie about a boy wanting to make it in holly-wood. But it will go in this order:
  • Boy writes song
  • Boy meets star
  • Boy is taken advantage of by someone else or tricked into giving someone his song
  • Boy gets star to find out he is ____ instead of the imposter
  • Boy and star live happily ever after

*This was only a review and MY opinion i didn't mean to offend anyone, if i did i apoligise.

Rags Nickelodeon

Worth watching:Yup

Movie Grade: C+

Actors Grades: C

Plot Grade: B

Short Summary: The movie was about a boy named charlie prince (Max schneider) an aspiring singer that cant catch a break, who ran into a misunderstood and controlled superstar named Katie worth (Keke palmer). They became friends and after a mysterious singer named "rags" sung at the superstars-fathers party. When Charlie tries to make a dramatic reveal that he is rags he ultimately fails. SO, the two friends set out to find them. After the boy's own step brother claim to be rags, the superstar fell for it. Then later realized after a quote charlie said it was him friend all along instead of his step-brother.

Likes: The plot was an overall good plot, and the actors were really good. I especially liked the part when Katie and charlie were singing in the park and gave the money to the homeless guy.

Dislikes: During some of the songs i know it couldn't of just been me but there voice was starting to sound well VERY auto-tuned.
